Flipbook 3D & Digital Library
From source documents to books worth exploring.
One engine, a real collection.
Flipbook converts PDFs and ordered image sets into web publications, then gives them a searchable place in a digital library. The collection of Andrés Bestard Maggio provides the real editorial material that tests the product beyond a demo.
Keep the character of turning a page.
The primary reader uses Three.js with custom page geometry, covers and two-sided sheets. On devices without WebGL it opens a 2D page-flip viewer instead, so the book remains readable even when the richer effect is unavailable.
Make a collection findable and shareable.
A local conversion pipeline prepares optimized pages and catalog metadata. Readers can search the library, move by mouse, touch or keyboard, return to their last page and share a link to a specific book and page.
Offline is a choice.
The installable app keeps its shell available, while downloading an individual book for offline reading remains an explicit action. The same reader can also be embedded in another site, linking publications back to the wider archive.
A publishing tool proven by what it publishes.
The engineering matters because it lets a book retain its pace and material presence while becoming accessible through the web.
