Andrés Bestard Maggio’s work spans paintings, litocromos, murals, sculpture, exhibitions, writing and film. I designed and developed a bilingual archive that connects those forms without flattening them into a uniform grid. The artwork and its authorship remain at the center.
Let each work set the pace.
The viewer adapts its surrounding color and movement to the artwork. High-resolution images transition without a flash; touch gestures and a contemplation mode offer different ways to stay with a piece rather than immediately moving to the next.
Connect the work to its context.
Exhibitions, audiovisual material and writing sit beside individual works. Local content tools help organize source material while curated titles, descriptions and translations keep editorial decisions in human hands.
Books belong inside the archive.
The integrated Flipbook library gives publications their own reading experience. A visitor can move from a work to the printed material around it, then return to the broader archive without losing the thread.
A digital home for a body of work.
My contribution is the structure, interface and engineering of the archive. The works shown throughout it are by Andrés Bestard Maggio.
