Build from the workflow, not just the screen.

My fintech work spans frontend development, product decisions and earlier technical leadership. When UX designs exist, I turn them into code. When the problem is still open, I work with clients, product and backend teams to define the flow and its technical needs.

Build an intranet that keeps working.

I led a six-person team building a brokerage intranet. Frequent queries strained an unreliable external financial API, so I built periodic data retrieval and a backend that served reads from our own database, leaving the external API for transactions. Batch loading and database indexes kept large queries responsive. We built panels for compliance, marketing, producers and other teams; they still support daily work with little maintenance.

Recover a stalled valuation platform.

I took over an outsourced asset valuation platform that had stalled with frontend, backend and calculation problems. Leading a small team with a product owner and a developer, I audited the system, corrected valuation logic and removed database query and connection bottlenecks. We brought it into production in three months.

Turn an assistant prototype into a design others use.

Starting from a basic prototype created by the CEO, I redesigned the assistant and expanded its functionality. In the browser, function calling maps a request to existing read-only APIs and presents the results as tables or charts in the conversation. Client caching and prompt changes reduced latency. The UX team highlighted the design and reused it in later projects.

Define a cauciones flow across teams.

For a securities-backed financing control, I studied the operation and met with clients and the product owner to understand the workflow. I mapped the flow, refined evolving prototypes to fit the platform’s visual language and explained the backend requirements to the engineering team.

Frontend work begins before the final design.

These examples show two ways I contribute: implementing UX designs and helping shape a product when no complete design exists yet. The historical interface shown here uses demonstration data and does not represent every system described.
