Cénit

A little sky over Buenos Aires.

2026 Concept · interaction · design · development Experience Cénit

A sky worth staying with.

Cénit brings together my interest in nature, astronomy, visual art and making interactive worlds. The starting point is personal: lying on the ground, watching and listening, with enough time for something unexpected to happen.

An encounter becomes a memory.

Move the time, stop and observe. Saving an encounter creates a memory that can be revisited; a first capture also adds a discovery. The notebook connects a specific moment with the natural phenomenon behind it, without turning the sky into a list of objectives.

The notebook during development: encounters and the notes that accompany them.

A world, not a backdrop.

Time changes the light, and that light changes how the clouds and vegetation are perceived. Encounters depend on conditions rather than appearing as an unrelated overlay. The challenge is to make those systems read as one place while keeping the experience calm.

A total solar eclipse changes the same sky, light and atmosphere.

Reference, model, artistic choice.

Native trees offer a concrete example. The narrow leaves of the willow and the leaf forms of tala and ceibo guide the vegetation. Procedural geometry simplifies each canopy; leaf density, wind amplitude and branch placement remain compositional choices. Keeping trees at the edges frames the view without closing the sky.

Building the tools to build the sky.

Three.js and TypeScript support the scene, while a dedicated studio makes conditions and encounters repeatable. Being able to choose a time, trigger an event and keep a shot configuration turns visual iteration into something that can be inspected and compared.

Two decisions behind the experience

Reproducible shots. A changing world is difficult to compare. Keeping a seed and initial state allows the studio to revisit a shot and export it using the same event timing.

Observation before controls. Interface density competes with the sky. Grouping secondary actions and giving memories a dedicated notebook keeps observation and review in separate, understandable spaces.

An ongoing work. A place to return to.

Cénit continues to evolve through observation, testing and visual iteration. The work is as much about choosing what to leave quiet as deciding what to simulate.
